Already a major software vendor in the building and plant equipment sector, our client now wished to better understand and analyse the opportunities that exist in the wider process and power sectors, such as Oil and Gas, Pharmaceuticals, Tobacco, Beverages, Utilities, Food Processing etc.
Business Advantage analysed the relative size (GDP), strength and growth rate of the various sub sector industries. We also researched IT spending trends within the industries, how much they were spending on design software, IT function outsourcing trends, the competitive landscape and any significant barriers to market entry.

Process and Power Major Account Profiling
Our client wanted to more precisely target key decision makers and influencers within the leading companies in the Process and Power sector. Business Advantage profiled 800 of the biggest companies. Through desk research we identified the top companies by revenue and then interviewed each organisation at multiple levels to obtain details of relevant contacts and other marketing data.

A leading supplier of Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) solutions needed to generate sales opportunities in the Green Energy sector. Clean or green energy is defined as sources of energy that are considered to be environmentally friendly and non-polluting, such as bio-fuels, solar power, wind power, wave power, geothermal power and tidal power. Generally energy from renewable sources such as biomass (refuse derived fuel), wind, or solar power.
