The Utilities Sector - Some Stats! The Utilities business activity / industry sector accounts for only 3% of the total sites and 3% of the total seats using CAD applications (based on an analysis of 19,500 CAD sites in the UK). Within this small sector, the number of employees on site varies widely, weighted heavily to employees in the 1-50 bracket (28%) but also well represented by sites with 25-250 employees. There is also a relatively large percentage (13%) in the 1,001-5,000-employee bracket. 
In sites where Utilities is the sole business activity/industry sector, AutoCAD and AutoCAD LT are similarly the dominant CAD packages, as they are in most other business and industry sectors. Minor packages play an even greater role, with over a dozen packages below the top eight accounting for nearly one-third of the total.
